The Proven Format Returns to Africa

Our Blastbeat V2 TV series follows a very diverse selected student teams, aged 16 to 21, made up of 14 members. They form Event Social Enterprises to organise properly and film a big event in their schools at the end of the 16 weeks BlastbeatV2 enterprise, arts, content creations music and climate action school competition.

In 2006, Coca-Cola BlastBeat TV captivated Irish audiences on RTÉ2, following young entrepreneurs as they formed companies, discovered musical talent, and organised professional concerts.

The series aired every Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am, earning critical acclaim for its authentic portrayal of youth enterprise. Now, BlastBeat is bringing this proven television format to Africa's screens with a powerful new dimension: climate action.

We are seeking a visionary headline sponsor or founding partner, to partner with BlastBeat TV for an exclusive pan-African television series that will reach millions of young viewers across the continent. This is more than entertainment, it is a movement that transforms how the next generation thinks about business, music, and environmental stewardship.

Why BlastBeat TV Resonates with African Audiences

Viewers watch as young entrepreneurs take on professional roles from CEO  to Marketing Director, scout local musical talent, secure venues, and  produce concerts that generate real revenue. The drama unfolds naturally as teams face genuine business challenges, creative conflicts and the pressure  of live event production. There is a lot of jeopardy built into this real life edu-documnery reality series. For example, we follow some of the artists or acts involved in the creative process as they rehearse, song-write and perform. With Blastbeat V2 there are 4 competitions in one:

  1. For Artists or gamers or sports team will they get knocked out of the competitions or will they get to the finals?
  2. For Event Social Enterprise (ESE = mini company). We witness the ESE Team to compete against with their peers in ESE's in other schools
  3. For Content Creators they compete to make a IPTV documentary competition made by the ESE about their fun 3 month journey to the BlastBeat National Finals in the City.
  4. For Climate Action Project made by the ESE, funded by 25%  of profits from the event, they showcase their project and plans for the future  of their Climate action projects

Africa's youth population exceeds 400 million, representing over 60% of the continent's total population. These young people are digitally connected, entrepreneurially minded, and hungry for content that reflects their aspirations. BlastBeat TV delivers exactly what this demographic craves: real stories of their peers building businesses, discovering talent, and making a difference.

BlastBeat TV resonates with audiences because it turns a school‑based competition into high‑energy, character‑driven storytelling that blends youth enterprise, creativity and climate action.

Core series concept

  • The series follows diverse teams of 16–21‑year‑olds as they form  14‑member Event Social Enterprises and build a major school event  over a 16‑week Blastbeat V2 programme that blends enterprise, arts, content creation, music and climate action.
  • Viewers see young entrepreneurs’ step into real roles—from CEO to Marketing Director—while discovering local talent, securing venues and producing concerts that generate actual revenue.

Natural drama and jeopardy

  • Tension builds as teams navigate real business problems, creative disagreements and the pressure of delivering a live show, with no scripted outcomes, only authentic wins and losses.
  • The format is a true edu‑documentary reality IPTV series, following artists, gamers or sports teams as they rehearse, write, train and perform, unsure whether they will be knocked out early or reach the finals.

Each season follows diverse student teams, aged 16 to 21, who form 14‑member Event Social Enterprises and are given 16 weeks to design, promote and deliver a major event in their school. These teams step into real professional roles, from CEO and Finance to Marketing Director and Talent Scout, while they scout local musicians, secure venues, negotiate with suppliers and produce concerts that generate genuine revenue, not simulated budgets.

The drama is entirely unscripted. Viewers watch in weekly real time rolling the journey as teams confront tight deadlines, strained friendships, creative disagreements and the unforgiving pressure of live production. Artists, gamers and sports crews rehearse, create and perform, never certain whether they will be knocked out or make it to the national finals.

The format layers four competitions into one: performers battle for a coveted finals slot; each Event Social Enterprise is judged against schools in other regions; content creators produce behind‑the‑scenes documentaries about their three‑month journey; and every team designs a climate‑action project funded by 25% of event profits, then pitches its long‑term impact.

Four competitions in one

  • Artists & performers: Acts compete through auditions, rehearsals and live performances for a place in the national finals.
  • Event Social Enterprises: Each ESE mini‑company goes head‑to‑head with teams from other schools on revenue, impact and event quality.
  • Content creators: Teams produce their own behind‑the‑scenes video documentary charting their three‑month journey to the BlastBeat  National Finals.
  • Climate action projects: Each ESE designs and showcases a climate project, funded by 25% of their event profits, with judges assessing both current impact and future plans.

Africa, the world’s youngest continent, has more than 60% of its people under 25, many of them digitally connected and hungry for opportunity‑driven content. BlastBeat TV speaks directly to this demographic, showcasing relatable peers who are building businesses, discovering talent and driving positive change in their communities

This audience is digitally connected, entrepreneurial and eager for content that mirrors their own ambitions; BlastBeat TV delivers real stories of their peers starting businesses, discovering talent and  transforming their communities and environments.

What makes this format unique is its authenticity. There are no scripts, no manufactured drama. Every success and setback is real. When a band discovers they have been selected from hundreds of applicants, when a marketing campaign goes viral, when the lights come up on concert night, audiences experience genuine emotion that scripted television cannot replicate.

The Climate Action Dimension

Unlike the original series, BlastBeat TV Africa integrates climate action as a core programme element. Each Event Social Enterprise dedicates 25% of their profits to environmental initiatives in their communities. The series follows these projects with the same attention given to the business and music elements, creating compelling storylines about young people taking tangible action on climate change.

Viewers will see students planting urban forests, installing solar panels at schools, launching recycling enterprises, and advocating for environmental policy. This positions the series perfectly for sponsors seeking authentic ESG alignment and meaningful impact on Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 13 (Climate Action).

20+ Years of Proven Impact

BlastBeat is not a new concept seeking validation. The programme has reached over 360,000 students across 50+ countries over more than two decades. Previous corporate partners include Coca-Cola, AIB, Barclays, and national broadcasters. Government education departments in Ireland, South Africa, Namibia, and Rwanda have integrated BlastBeat into official curriculum offerings.

Blastbeat attracted interest and received proposals from the renowned William Morris Agency, one of the world's leading entertainment firms, along with various record labels and Participant Media. However, due to the global economic downturn, we faced challenges in securing sponsorship and funding.

Consequently, we departed the USA in 2009 amidst the banking crisis and ensuing recession. Before these offers could take shape, the Republic of Ireland faced bankruptcy. Nevertheless, the recognition and experience gained, along with the Irish TV series, established a foundation for a new direction in our youth-focused series, filmed across multiple nations.

Blastbeat transcended its origins as merely a concert series; it evolved into a real-world classroom for enterprise, leadership, collaboration, and civic engagement, empowering students to create Event Social Enterprises, take on professional roles, organize climate-conscious events, and produce multimedia campaigns that amplified their voices and paved pathways for the future.

The program later attracted attention from the historic William Morris Agency (now WME), prominent record labels, and the socially-minded film company Participant. However, Blastbeat exited the United States in 2009 due to the global recession and Ireland’s financial crisis before these opportunities could fully develop. This international interest and experience have laid the groundwork for a new, youth-oriented Blastbeat TV series, to be filmed across multiple countries, aiming to highlight young creators who are building businesses, culture, and climate solutions on a global scale.

Title Sponsorship Benefits

As title sponsor, your brand becomes synonymous with youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and climate action across Africa. The sponsorship package includes comprehensive benefits designed to maximise brand visibility and authentic audience connection.

Broadcast Integration: Title naming rights ensure your brand appears in every episode title, opening sequence, and promotional material. Think "MTN Presents BlastBeat" or "The MTN BlastBeat Challenge" reaching viewers across multiple African markets through linear broadcast and streaming platforms.

Digital Amplification: With youth audiences increasingly consuming content via mobile devices, the series will be optimised for your streaming and mobile platforms. Exclusive behind-the-scenes content, participant interviews, and interactive voting features can be integrated into your digital ecosystem.

Event Presence: The series culminates in spectacular national finals featuring the best student companies and musicians. These events attract thousands of attendees and significant media coverage, providing premium experiential marketing opportunities for your brand.

CSR Documentation: Comprehensive impact reporting documents every student reached, skill developed, and climate initiative funded. This provides robust material for sustainability reporting and stakeholder communications demonstrating tangible community investment.

Strategic Alignment with Youth Markets

This sponsorship opportunity aligns perfectly with telecommunications strategies focused on youth market penetration. The series delivers authentic content that resonates with the demographic most likely to adopt new digital services, streaming platforms, and mobile innovations.

Consider the natural integration opportunities: student companies using mobile payment platforms, digital marketing campaigns reaching young audiences, streaming content consumption patterns, and social media engagement. The series provides organic product placement and brand association without feeling forced or promotional.

Beyond immediate marketing impact, the sponsorship builds long-term brand equity. Young viewers who see your brand supporting their peers' entrepreneurial journeys develop lasting positive associations. This is generational brand building through authentic purpose-driven content.

Investment Tiers

Title Sponsor (Exclusive): Complete naming rights, premium broadcast integration, exclusive digital content rights, event hosting opportunities, and comprehensive impact documentation. This tier offers unparalleled visibility and authentic youth engagement across all programme touchpoints.

Presenting Sponsor: Significant broadcast visibility, featured segment sponsorship, event presence, and impact reporting. This tier provides substantial brand exposure while sharing the platform with complementary partners.

The Opportunity Window

BlastBeat TV production is scheduled to begin in Q1 2026, with broadcast targeted for the academic calendar across participating African markets. This timeline provides adequate preparation for sponsor integration, marketing campaign development, and operational coordination.

Early partnership commitment enables deeper integration, including brand input on production elements, marketing campaign synchronisation, and exclusive first-mover positioning before competitor awareness develops.
