BlastBeat has been selected as one of 25 Irish startups to pitch at Web Summit 2025 —Europe's largest technology conference with 70,000+ attendees from 170 countries.

This is more than a conference speaking slot. It's validation from the global startup community that transformative education technology matters. It's a platform to showcase our 20-year proven methodology to investors, government officials, corporate partners, and educators worldwide.

What Makes This Historic

When Web Summit selects companies, they're looking for businesses that will shape the future. Not startups. Not experiments. Companies with proven impact, clear markets, and transformational potential.

BlastBeat's selection reflects our reality:

  • 360,000+ students have participated directly across 9 countries
  • 50+ million people reached through climate music events
  • €4.2 million from past investments in our original analogue version of

Blastbeat between 2003 and 2015 from Philanthropists, Impact Investors,

Government and other grant aiding organisation like the Big Lottery Fund,

UnLtd and corporate sponsorships from leading brands like Coca-Cola

(Irl), Barclays (uk), AIB (irl), Mr Price (SA) etc proves the attractiveness of

Blastbeat.

The original Blastbeat was already well proven in Ireland, South Africa,

USA, UK and parts of the EU, Japan, Korean and now very recently in

Uganda, Namibia & Rwanda.

Decades of proven traction and success before any digital platform sets

the scene for new investment and now we will be piloting the most

scalable version of Blastbeat

An successful TV series broadcast nationally in Ireland & SA

documenting our student transformation journey

We're not a startup pitching an idea, Blastbeat is a proven business and

movement now ready to scale globally with our new digital infrastructure

and institutional support.

As a result of the websummit 2025 in Lisbon we are now negotiating with a

range of new partners and territories who will work with us to scale

BlastbeatV2 to 10,000 schools globally by the end of 2030

  • 2 international TV series documenting student transformation

We're not a startup pitching an idea. We're a proven movement ready to scale globally with digital infrastructure and institutional support.

Our Web Summit pitch will showcase three converging crises that BlastBeat solves:

Crisis 1: Youth Unemployment
Globally, 1.2 billion young people are unemployed or underemployed.  Traditional education doesn't prepare them for real-world economics. BlastBeat teaches authentic business skills through the engaging young  people in the things they already love: Music, Dance, The Arts, Sports Enterprise (making money). These are key hot engagement points that make the students journey exciting, fun, very real and sustainable.

Crisis 2: Climate Anxiety
Youth climate anxiety is at epidemic levels (e.g.75% of young people in the

UK and Ireland). BlastBeat channels that anxiety into positive action—every

ESE team invests 25% of their profits in to climate projects they design and

manage themselves, not just during the programme but for the long team.

This creates agency over despair, real results in their own communities

Crisis 3: Educational Disengagement
Traditional classrooms don't work anymore for 21st-century learners.

BlastBeat replaces abstract lessons with real businesses, real money, real

consequences and real impact.

Also today there is a global shortage of over 40 million teachers and this is

getting worse with over 40 students per class in underserved communities

and in state schools. Thus online learning / EdTech can really help to bridge

this gap, especially with students so motivated and engaged as they are

with Blastbeat V2

What's at Stake

The Investor, Partner, Sponsor and Government attention at this Web  Summit was very strong. This shows that we can quickly accelerate

BlastBeat's expansion exponentially. Our current conversations with African and EU Partners and Governments alone represent potential deployment across 50+ million students over the next 5 years. But such scaling requires more capital, partnerships and strategic visibility.

Web Summit has helped to provide all of these and more.

Web Summit provides all three.
