Terms of Service

Last Updated: 26 January 2026 | Effective Date: 26 January 2026

📋 Quick Summary (Plain English Version)

Here's the deal in simple terms:

  • This is REAL business – You're running actual events, not simulations
  • 75/25 profit split – Your team keeps 75% of profits, 25% goes to climate action
  • Be respectful – Treat teammates, teachers, and the community with respect
  • Your work matters – Content you create belongs to you, we just need to share it
  • Safety first – We have rules to keep everyone safe at events
  • Parents involved – If you're under 18, your parent/guardian must agree too

1. Agreement to Terms

By registering for the BlastBeat programme, accessing our platform, or participating in any BlastBeat activities, you agree to these Terms of Service.

For Students Under 18: A parent or legal guardian must consent to these terms on your behalf. By providing consent, they agree to be bound by these terms.

2. About the BlastBeat Programme

What is an Event Social Enterprise (ESE)?

BlastBeat operates through Event Social Enterprises (ESEs) where student teams:

  • Form businesses with 14 specialized roles (CEO, Finance Manager, Marketing Manager, etc.)
  • Plan and execute real events (concerts, sports tournaments, talent shows)
  • Handle real money and make real business decisions
  • Dedicate a portion of profits to climate action projects

Our Three Verticals

Programme Focus
MACC Music & Arts Climate Challenge – concerts, talent shows, creative events
FootBeat Sports Enterprise – tournaments, sports days, athletic events
CAN Climate Actions Now – environmental projects funded by event profits

3. The 75/25 Profit Distribution Model

💰 How Profits Work:
  • 75% of net profits go to the student team
  • 25% goes to the Climate Action Fund (selected by students)

How Student Profits Are Distributed

Student teams decide democratically how to distribute their 75%:

  • Equal split among team members
  • Performance-based distribution
  • Reinvestment into future events
  • Donation to additional causes

Financial Transparency

  • All transactions are recorded on the platform
  • Finance Managers receive training on proper accounting
  • Teachers/facilitators verify financial records
  • Profits are paid out within 30 days of event completion
